A Playdate with Color
CLASS 1
A Playdate with Color
Part 2 – Prepare Your Space and Your Materials
These are some general ideas for setting up your art space and what you need for that space, as well as the supplies to get for this specific class.
Set Up Your Art Space
How much space do you really need? Not much: a corner and a flat surface for your pallet (I discuss the best pallet in the Bonus Section), a place for your paints and water, and a way to prop up your canvas. The wall or a portable easel will work fine.
Creating Sacred Space
When you are preparing to make art, doodle, and play with colors you can create sacred space by inviting in good energy. Visualize doing this by asking your angels or your spirit guides to come play with you; maybe make a little “art altar”, like placing beautiful rocks, crystals, or shells on a tabletop and lighting a candle or some incense.
Supplies Section
This is for both general and specific art and studio materials. I made a supplies list at DickBlick.com or you can shop locally using the list in the presentation. Here’s the link:

Please note that IF you already have acrylic paints that are not the Golden Fluids type you can use them for this class BUT your results will be a bit different from what I show. If you use acrylic paint of the type “Heavy Body” just dilute them with some water before you start painting. I also give ideas for items to look for at Amazon.com.
And directions for creating the bird shape in the Painting Lesson.
