Studying Saturation

Time Lapse- Intuitive Painting- Black Coyote

This canvas is done in highly saturated colors with only shades of black as neutral tones in there. I do enjoy bright colors and it shows in much of my artwork, currently. However, I know that I will go wherever my expression wants to go and so my pallet changes character from time to time. I noticed when I was done how Coyote flies over the land, and the man skipping on stones perhaps, is following him.

Time lapse- Intuitive painting- Bright Bird on Vine

Another intuitive painting that started out completely different from how it ended! After the first couple of lines i thought it would be a rainbow and as it developed it got to be a bird resting peacefully on a vine in the rainforest. Lots of texture, flowers, lotus, vines, stars, and planets.

Timelapse Intuitive painting- White Flowers

Change of seasons got to be theme for this painting- white flowers turning into snow and the glowing warm sun cooling off and trees growing bare. Owl is watching it all and knows it has to be this way for us all to grow and learn. Grid pattern and organic shapes often show up side by side on my paintings. A conversation of how we try to organize and build structures in order to guard ourselves perhaps?

Technical Tips

These are older videos discussing the best pallet to get, how to clean your pallet, and how to use a fan brush and the small round brush.
